We’re not just providing clothing, we’re providing the South Florida Lifestyle.

Started right here in Miami Beach, South Florida Clothiers stays true to home in several ways. First, in our fabrics. South Florida, of course, demands high quality so we use only the finest pure, long-staple Peruvian Pima Cotton in our Polo and Tee shirts. So whether you’re a resident, a visitor, or have never been but “wish you were here,” we have the clothes that will put you in a Sunshine State of mind.

Our Founders

We are just a couple of South Floridians – we love where we live and take pride in our home.  We are constantly in awe of our state’s natural wonders, miles-and-miles of pristine sun-drenched beaches and gorgeous azure seas, not to mention the world-class golf courses, artistic venues, fishing, boating and nightlife! In short, it’s an incredible place to work and play.

South Florida Clothiers (“SFC”) was born because we wanted to give South Florida its own lifestyle clothing brand, one that would reflect and celebrate its unique climate and lifestyle. Our goal: sharing our “Sunshine State of mind” with you and keeping you stylishly cool in hot weather.

The Line: All About The Details

For our Polos, we blend in a little Lycra for stretch, which means it’s a shirt you can stay active in – boat, play golf or tennis; anything! We also keep the weight of the shirt on the lower side in deference to the Florida heat. Our Tees, made of 100% Peruvian Pima, are so soft & light you have to feel to believe, with an easy elegance that goes anywhere from lunch at the Tiki bar to dinner under a jacket. Our long-sleeve S4s, of course, say it all in the name – “Sun, Swim, Sail, Surf”— and protect your skins with UPF 50+ fabric.

Our Colors: Locally Inspired

Although we (of course) include classic primary colors, our color palette is South Florida inspired! For example, Polos come in Biscayne and Ocean Blue (matched to the bay and local ocean waters), Sun-washed Orange (from a vintage South Beach lifeguard stand), and Pineapple (because South Florida at the turn of the 20th Century was a global leader in pineapple production. Plus, pineapple is awesome!). Pocket Tee colors include Sabal Palm (Florida’s State Tree) and Flamingo. Hat colors include Guava, Sand, and Reef Blue.

Our Mascot: The Florida Stone Crab

Our logo is the Florida Stone Crab (minippee mercenaria – say that 5x fast!) because it is distinctly Florida; no other region of the country can claim it. Plus, we believe the Florida Stone Crab and the people of Florida share a symbiotic relationship. Friends and family gather to socialize over stone crabs on special occasions. We also love that the Stone Crab is a renewable marine resource. Crabbers harvest the claws and return the crabs to our oceans to live on! The harvested claw then regenerates.

Giving Back

Finally, we’re big believers in supporting our community, past, present and future. Some of the non-profit causes we’ve supported include Miami Waterkeepers, Debris Free Oceans, Seafarers’ House Port Everglades, South Florida SPCA, Born Free Pet Shelter, Miami Music Project, South Florida Symphony Orchestra, Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc., Miami-Dade Law Library, and Quest, Inc. SFC also participated in a Hurricane Irma relief drive for the Florida Keys, and donated to Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in The Bahamas.
